Flight Instructor/Tour Pilot - Louisiana

New Orleans Aerial Tours & Flight Training LLC welcomes instructors with a vision of excellence in instruction and a commitment to employing a variety of formats, settings and styles to lead students to successful completion of their flight ratings. As a Part 141 fixed wing flight training provider that will conduct Part 61 rotor wing training held to 141 standards, we are seeking instructors who can adapt to a variety of teaching situations and who have the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, staff and others in a climate that promotes cultural diversity and multicultural understanding. We are also seeking instructors that can adapt to the many facets of our business, including but not limited to, aerial tours of New Orleans. Our tour pilots should be outgoing, fun-loving and have excellent customer service and expert piloting skills with the highest regard for safety.

Job Advantages:
$20-$30/hr. Bonuses for after hours tours & first time passes along with pilot gratuities from happy tour clients. Average of 80-100 flight hours per month (billable hours 130+). Build experience as SIC in King Air & Phenom (if you have a fixed wing CPL). Advancement options. 300+ days of great flying weather. Closed all major holidays. Paid standardization class and currency. High volume flight training; build hours very quickly.

Job Functions:
Providing flight and ground instruction in accordance with New Orleans Aerial Tours & Flight Training LLC and FAA regulations and procedures and approved Training Course Outline. Developing course content, preparing schedules, properly documenting and maintaining student records, and ensuring the course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student in each flight course. Monitoring the maintenance condition of the training aircraft and informing proper maintenance personnel of any questionable items. Attending any administrative, standardization, in-service training, and instructor development meetings as assigned. Conducting aerial tours and discovery flights over New Orleans. Providing professional, courteous, informed service to each client. Know them by name and make them feel welcomed. Providing a unique and exhilarating adventure for each client, a memorable experience they will never forget. Performing any other duties assigned by Chief Flight Instructor and/or administration.

Certification Requirements:
FAA Rotor Wing CFI & CFII required (Fixed Wing CFI, CFII & MEI preferred)
FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Certificate
FAA Instrument Rotorcraft Certificate
SFAR 73 CFI Endorsement for R44
Completed, or scheduled, Robinson factory safety course
Valid 2nd Class Medical
Must have current Flight Review, Night Currency, and IPC

Flight Experience:
500 hours of total time on helicopter and fixed wing
200 hours on Robinson Aircraft
150 hours Dual Given as CFI, of which minimum 50 hrs dual given IFR and 100 hrs dual given R44

Additional Requirements:
Exceptional communication skills and capability of following written/verbal instructions and documented procedures
Ability to deliver excellent customer service
Pre-employment drug screen required for aerial tour operations
No aircraft accident or aviation violation
Eligibility to work in the U.S.
Job requires flexibility with work/personal schedule. Weekends are a MUST.
